从隐喻角度谈词汇教学

摘    要:讨论认知语言学中隐喻理论对英语词汇教学的指导作用。介绍隐喻应用于词汇教学的理论基础,阐述隐喻对词汇教学的几点启示:重视基本范畴词汇的教学,重视词汇隐喻意义的教学,从认知的角度进行一词多义教学和重视词汇文化内涵的教学。

Abstract:The paper discusses metaphor theory of cognitive linguistics as well as its guidance for English words teaching.The theoretical foundation of metaphor,which can be applied to vocabulary teaching,is introduced.Some enlightenments about teaching vocabulary in terms of metaphor are presented: attach importance to teaching the dictionary meaning of words as well as the implicit meaning suggested by metaphor.From the viewpoint of cognition,teaching polysemies and the cultural connotation of English words should be taken seriously.
