This paper tries to comprehend the current situation and development trend of reading promotion
research through varieties of surveys. After the analysis of successful cases, it reveals that academic library
reading promotion must possess such characteristics as novel themes, dedicated staff, leaders’ attention, financial
support, routine work and so on. It is considered that reading promotion at omnimedia times should be elaborate
and only in the context of taking both the interests and joint development of readers, librarians and libraries into
account can it maintain its sustainability and vitality. |
